The Federal Government has debunked claim in some quarters that the Kano Abuja road has been awarded to an unknown Contractor.

Recall that the Abuja-Kano road was withdrawn by the Government from Julius Berger Construction Company

GALAXY TV reports that the Minister of Works, Dave Umai, who made the clarification at a News conference in Abuja on. Tuesday, said though the Project is awaiting the approval of the Federal Executive Council for approval, adding that there was a misrepresentation of the name of the Company that bided for the Project.

The Minister who accused the Construction Company of constant of review of prices for projects maintained that he refused to be blackmailed by any contractors stressing that President Bola Tinubu is so passionate with putting the roads in good shape for rapid socioeconomic development and as well avoid incessant lost of lives.

He urged Nigerians to appreciate the heart of the President not just to repair the roads but to make it more durable adding that, those that are demarketing the country should begin to look at what the new Contractor will do regarding the project.

The Minister of State For Works in his remarks charged Nigerians to continue to appreciate the President and desist from giving attention to distractors. He denounced all the claims by Julius Berger adding that, the Ministry would no longer tolerate contractors piling up projects without doing nothing.
